Benefits of Online Psychology Degrees

Online programs are growing more popular and can be found for a variety of subjects, including psychology. Studying online offers students the freedom to learn in the comfort of their own home or any place with an Internet connection.

There are several types of online study modules. Some programs allow you to study at your own pace. There are no beginning or end dates. You have full flexibility to study whenever you want. Other online programs require certain times where you must log in and interact with the professor and classmates. Another type, called an online hybrid, is offered mostly online, but requires students to attend several on-campus sessions  to attend meetings or take tests.

Bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees in psychology can all be completed online. There are a variety of degree programs available, including social work, family and marriage counseling, clinical, educational, forensic, general, industrial, school and sports psychology.

Online study offers students a myriad of benefits. One major benefit is a curriculum that is directly related to students’ individual career goals. Also, some graduates of online psychology programs have said they have had more access to their professors in an online environment than in a traditional on-campus setting.

Affordability and flexibility are another benefit. Online learning is usually less expensive. Plus, financial aid is sometimes available to eligible students, so online learning is an ideal option for those who have difficulty affording a college education. Online learning also enables students to keep full-time jobs or stay at home with kids while pursuing academic goals.

There was once a stigma associated with online degree programs. However, with advances in technology and more students needing to balance family and work responsibilities, more and more people are taking advantage of the benefits of studying online. Make sure that the online program is nationally accredited and that your program of study qualifies for licensure.

Psychology Engages The Mind Of The Professional And The Patient

There are a number of different types of psychologists. Still, the one most people think of is actually the clinical psychologist. The mass populace can’t be blamed for this; they are the most common practitioners in the field.

That doesn’t mean there still aren’t a lot of misconceptions about psychology. First of all, it is a science. For instance, it works off of the principles of testing for certain results, and then repeating those tests to see if one gets the same results. The science is a part of the healthcare field, concentrating on mental illnesses instead of physical. Most importantly, modern psychology is well over a century old, and to practice it a psychologist must meet a number of highly rigorous standards.

As defined by its main professional organization, the American Psychological Association, a clinical psychologist concentrates on the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders. They are trained to help patients through not just severe conditions such as extreme schizophrenia or bipolar disorders, but also to help people who have undergone such milder traumas as divorce, a death in the family or the loss of a job. They have a number of different disciplines they can draw from, ranging anywhere from the teachings of Freud to behaviorists like Skinner.

Those interested in the field, should be strong in such academics as the humanities and life sciences. They should also have very strong communications skills and be a, no kidding, very stable personality. There are an incredible number of good on-campus and online colleges that teach the subject. It is also considered a STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) career, so is accessible to more than just the standard federal grants such as the Pell.

Beguiling Conversations, Flattering Remarks and Vacillating Statements: Phony As a Plastic Pickle

MODE of Cosmic Therapy Esoteric Educational Psycho-Analysis: Let Words Alone; They’re Energized Unconscious Messengers

Why do we, as humans, once having realized we have been misunderstood in one of our casual remarks, immediately try to turn it around by adding a more agreeable flavor in the hopes that the offended or confused person will take it as a well-intended supported compliment?

It’s rather ridiculous, really; but nonetheless we continue to ‘make certain’ we are not scene in a controversial manner and most especially in a ‘bad’ light. When such an ambiguous occasion arises, we are perfectly aware of what we are doing and how we are doing it. But, does that make one bit of difference to us: NO!

If we were not nearly so phony and apologetic in our deference, we may even get a lucid glimpse of what we were really saying, along with the motivation behind our attempts to butter up the other.

What exactly is it that we are hoping (aspiring) to accomplish? Why is it important to remain on a level of satisfactory exchange with the other in fear of upsetting him/her? Do not these innuendos ring a melody of falsity?

Does not the planted erect knife in the butter fall once the butter melts?

In other words, what is hidden in the relationships we feel so insecure about and in need of continuing such a façade of nicety? We work so hard to maintain the supposed idea of decency we have long since cherished, nurtured and polished in our own minds.

Synchronicity and Dreaming – Learn Why and When Meaningful Coincidences Happen

Synchronicity is a phenomenon that was observed by the psychiatrist Carl Jung. It represents a coincidence that has an important meaning. This coincidence indicates that the person who experiences it must pay attention to the mistakes that he or she is making in order to avoid serious future problems. The scientific explanation for the existence of a meaning in coincidences that don’t happen by chance, is the fact that there is a purpose in our existence. There is a law that predetermines the future development of reality. It is based on our necessity to eliminate the wild side of our conscience.

We must get rid of the violent, immoral and absurd tendencies imposed by the anti-conscience which is our wild conscience. Only after eliminating the negative content we have inherited, will we be able to live peacefully and happily. Through dreaming we understand how to eliminate the dangerous influence of the anti-conscience that keeps trying to control our behavior. We understand also the meaning of synchronicity, having clear explanations about what must be done when it happens.

Using an example of synchronicity from my own life, I can mention the appearance of a big spider in the house I was hosted in on one of my trips to Brazil. I had also dreamt about a spider the previous night. Thanks to the symbolism represented by the spider, I understood that besides trying to find financial support for a boy who needed psychological treatment, I had also to convince him to accept psychotherapy. This was a very important mission because his psychological world was severely damaged.

Self Acquaintance Awareness Acclimation Awakens Ultimate Universal Unconstrained Unity

MODE of Cosmic Therapy Esoteric Psychology: Inhabiting the Evolving Personality of Social Change

When I was a small girl, my family was not affluent enough to own a washing machine or dryer. So every Saturday, I, along with my younger brothers and sisters would accompany my mother to the local ‘laundry mat’.

I remember sitting in the wobbly plastic faded off-white dingy metal chair while my mother loaded the quarter machines with as many clothes as she could pack in. When the cycle was complete, she would place them in large dime dryers.

It was ‘then and there’ I got to watch the world spin ’round and round’ making a most soothing sound. I could have sat in that one spot for hours simply watching the multi-colored clothes turning over and over.

I saw the many fabrics, shapes and sizes being tossed, turned, and jumbled faster and faster as they dried, until the dryer came to an abrupt stop, signaling they were completely dry…Maybe.

So many different types of people came to the same ‘laundry mat’ to wash and dry their clothes. I used to watch the families as they piled in lugging their raggedy wooden laundry baskets, and pillow cases full of dirty clothes.

I wondered where they lived, what the mama did (was she, in fact, a good mother) and what kind of job the daddy had; but most of all, why they didn’t have a washer and dryer. I distinctively remember thinking that everyone in the whole wide world had to dry clothes, too.

I wondered how many of them went to the laundry mat in China, Russia, or South America or if they even had such places.
